Air hose size...

I don't think you'll see any difference in air supply,
but the 1/2" hose is a lot harder to deal with.
the air supply is more restricted by the couplings, unless you have
much larger fittings, the hose won't matter very much at all.

That's good, that'll help.
I got bigger fittings and a 1/2" hose.
Then I did some tests of my own useing one of these,
that I made.(see pic.)
The fittings reduced the pressure drop a lot, but switching to
the 1/2" hose was barely noticeable.
Maybe a real long hose would, I made mine 30'.
I set the pressure at the wall, reading the gage at the gun,
once set, I remove the gage. Works real good, for all my guns.
But if you run higher presssure, like above 60 psi to the gun (like most do)
and regulate down at the gun, the higher pressure makes up for any line losses so
it doesn't matter, fittings, hoses,etc. DSC02762.jpg

a 3/8 is fine for spraying with. really dont need a 1/2". i just got a flexilla hose myself and have to say what a great hose. its extremely light and doesnt wrap around your feet.
