Barry, a paint company that maybe up for bidding

The unit’s sales will rise 3 percent to 5 percent a year in the long term with profit margins expanding from 7 percent in 2011 to as much as 12 percent, DuPont said.
How one can sell clears for $400/gal and only net 7% profit is beyond me.

I ask myself this constantly. At the prices these companies are selling paint......the need for these major price increases amazes me. Oh yea....gotta pay for those 3 100K paint booths for the shop down the street.

When more guys start switching to smaller brands they might get the picture...maybe dupont already has so its time to get rid of it. Good riddance.

Remember the CEO, CFO and the rest have those multimillion dollar salaries, severance packages, and retirement plans.
Let's see now $1,000,000 a year works out to be a little over $19,230 a week. Man how could anyone live on so little?

Price in all the levels of management and I think you have the answer

My dad use to say 'The bigger the dog the more it eats'. That explains $400.00 a gallon :)
