****$***** Base Coats

Hi new to the group,
Has anyone used ****$***** base Coats. I am a novist painter. I have painted several cars that I have restored over the years and have had good results. However since I am not a shop the Name Brand automotive paint store are really expensive. So I am looking at other brands. That is how I found SPI primers and Clear coats, which I love and have had great success with. I am thinking of trying the ****$*****, Base coats, any thoughts? Also will SPI reducers work with this brand?

There are many less expensive paint lines that can be used. Some of the really cheap ones can be a problem as the quality and coverage is poor. This can make them more expensive in the long run. Moto-Base and Wanda are often less expensive and have a good reputation here on the forum. The paint brand name you are asking about has been outlawed here, as there were inter company issues from long before I ever even heard of either brand.

I would highly recommend motobase ( can’t comment on Wanda). Motobase is a 1:1 mix and has excellent coverage. Contact Chads paints ( he is a member on the forum).
Same here. I have used both mentioned and like the Motobase LV from Automotive Art the best.
I also buy from Chad.

OK, I will re-write my previous post....

If you have an actual paint code then motobase or wanda would be your best bet for a quality affordable basecoat

If you want a custom type color......dont ask here and look for a color with a paint code..
