I'm getting 3 to 6 scam emails a day that will say here is the invoice we talked about or i never ordered from windstream .com and I want my money back.
They are hyjacked emails and if you click on the doc, your phone or email account will now be theirs.

There was a post this morning about polyurethane films, link looked funny so I deleted as was a new member but we cannot take a chance.

If you don't know who the mail is from, delete it.

I'm getting text messages now from someone who is a friend that says there are photos that I need to see that will be deleted in 24 hours. I did not open them. One was from Canada and the other was Ga but had a local phone number. I figured it was a scam.

I don't know Rusty. Pictures????
Think i might be going to bank to make a withdraw and calling the scammer real fast! LOL

I seen that thread Barry, I thought it looked really out of place. I did click on his link and it took me to an article about recorders looked at it for about 30sec and left thinking I have no idea why he would ask here and didn't know what he was needing or why anyhow.

So now no orders are safe? over the phone with a credit card?....how about that? Right when i made up my mind to order in the morn of fridaay

I have a web site I post my photography work to and I have been recently getting emails almost daily from either irate people or 'sendmail rejection' messages. All these have my web site URL and contact info as the alleged sender. There are automated 'bots' that crawl around the web collecting this information and scum use it in an effort to lure people into clicking their devious links embedded in the email body. It's hard to combat this type of info collection. These bastards need to get caught and lumped up.

I'll just call barry for an order i guess Can't get at me that way i don't think bob s

They have a trojan program that once you click the link it enters your computer and steals all your email contacts (possibly personal information as well). You will know if some of your friends start asking why you sent them a link to look at an article about recorders. LOL

The best one just happened!!
A fake lawyer firm out of Washington DC sent me an email, your wife is divorcing you and here is out first rough draft for your approval.
WELL if that is the case why would you want my approval of anything and I though, they would surprise me when I was served. LOL

Also yesterday i got one that said payment was made to your account for $725, click here for info.
No thanks!

Generally, when I get an email that looks suspicious, I check the return email address to determine if they are Scams. Got one the other day that said it was from a good friend but the return address was completely different.

If you don't know who sent it don't open it! If you get a text that says click here delete it. By clicking on just one of these they can get all your info. Be very very careful

Now you need to watch the "YES" phone calls. I got a strange call yesterday around 4:15pm yesterday on my cell ID showed just the number which was a cell number, I screen my calls because of the stupid ass spam type calls. I was working but figured I would answer anyway. He started off asking if I had called him, I said What? He said he had 2 missed calls from this number and I asked who is This? He said your number is 0792? (only saying the last 4 digits) I said When? He said 3:15pm, I said I'm working, he said Your working?, I paused and just hung up.

Every question he asked would require a yes or no answer from me. There is a very bad scam that uses your yes or no answer to lock you into a very bad agreement they superimpose into their scam.

Beware of these type phone calls they started off by using ("can you hear me?) now they seem to be changing their tactic.

The bad thing for me is that my cell phone is my business phone, kinda makes it hard not to answer all calls. So stay on your toes and don't let your guard down we are in a changing time and they are getting creative with their approach.
