Beginner: What am I doing wrong

I'll tell you what I'm doing and if you would please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I'm laying the sealer coat with the reduced epoxy.
My air compressor is at 120 psi, it want go any higher.
I have a 25' hose with a devilbiss desiccant snake.
So I have 120 psi at the tank, at the gun it regulated at 20 psi. The gun is only rated for 20 psi.

I'm a beginner so take it easy on me. From my understanding I have two choice one or two coats of the sealer primer, I'm going with two.
To me that means I'm suppose to have the tank completely covered in once over, not spray one coat and come back over it to cover the areas that didn't get wet like I do when I use aerosol.

To do this I have to move my gun slow, but then it begins to run. So if I do it faster it doesn't run but it seems slightly clumpy and it will take more coats just to finish that one coat. Also every time I spray it seem to look like what people call orange peel.

I'm guessing that the paint is not atomizing?

I need help bad!

For sealer I usually set the air at 25-28, 2-3 turns out from closed on the fluid, and fan about 1 turn from wide open to start and adjust from their if needed. If just sealing before base I would spray just 1 thin wet coat, to me the more coats you put the more peel you get.

But I have orange peel and running, shouldn't I wet sand and recoat? Ok I just took a look at the tank, it's been four hours since I painted it seems smooth put has a football looking pattern all over. So should I just wet sand the running or the whole tank? Thanks

If I was doing it I would let dry out side a day or two if the weather was permitting, wet sand and try adjusting the gun some. Might want to spay something else before like a old fender or something to try other settings and see if it helps any.

what gun? what reduction on the epoxy? What spray distance?
