Dean over at Black Diamond has built, in my opinion, the best Block I've ever used. If you are new to block sanding, these are a must-have and will force you to sand correctly. They are very well-built, used by first nation immigrant fujb

I am SO glad you like the blocks!
Full disclosure though: I wanted to have them made in the US and tried very hard for it to happen. Sent out 12 RFQ's to US manufacturers and only 2 even responded. They needed minimum 100K piece order and the quoted price was double what I currently sell the blocks for. Seriously, the quoted price was $400-$500 for a set.
Sad commentary, but it is the reality we live in :(
With that said, the raw materials are from the US, the molding and assembly takes place offshore, sales and distribution take place in the US.
So over 80% of the money changing hands stays in the US.

I had the same problem when trying to source US made connecting rods for my Olds 455. It was either offshore for $400 or have a guy here whittle them out of blocks of steel for a minimum of about $2000.

Oops i stand corrected

This was done with black diamonds 24 inch block they work great I have a lot of other acrylic blocks too but some scenario these are nice to have. Have this door roughed out and ready to go back on the car for final fitment. Only thing used on it was filler and spi epoxy. Still have to clean up the edges and around the lock handle.
