Thinking about getting a blast cabinet for the shop.
Does anyone have any suggestions for brand, style, size? I'm thinking a med size as I just take any really large stuff outside and blast away.
What are you using that you are happy with, or not happy with?
Thanks!

I have this BadBoy Blast Cabinet that works great for me. Big enough to put some fairly large parts in and so far it has run great.
I bought this from a metal finishing place that said it didn't hold up to 8 hours a day usage but I get bored after 2 hours of using it so that isn't a problem. :cheerful:

I really like the one I purchased last year.. It's a Skat blast cabinet.. Seems to work really good, just don't make the mistake I made and put sand in it.

I have Trinco blast cabinet that is about 8 years old. I've had great luck with it.

A properly working cabinet will consume parts (siphon hoses, nozzles, lense covers) so you want to purchase with parts availability in mind.

I like 80 grit aluminum oxide for auto parts.

I've rented one of these cabinets and they are the best but very expensive. I've been pondering one because of the speed increase from the pressure pot.

here is another company that makes really nice blast equipment. not cheap by any means but they do have nice economy blast cabinets as well which are far superior to any of the econo stuff on the market. i have a tiny 30" model that's from back in the 60's and its still workin great.
