blend questions, possible with just base/clear?

Hi Guys,

I'm painting a 95 del sol's front end and going to blend through the doors. I'm using Dupont Nason and SPI Euro clear. My question is can you blend with no other products and get decent results? I'm not looking to make it a show car, just to hide the different colors. The entire door will be cleared afterwards. Thanks in advance for all of the tips!

Hi Crash,

I'll have to get the numbers when I'm at home. I actually painted yesterday, and the results look OK. The first coat of base on the hood tiger stripped a bit, but the next 2 were decent so I think it's passable. I never blended before and the blend also looked OK, but I won't know until I get it in some better light. I just flicked the color out, then with the next two I went about three or four inches farther so I'm not sure if that was the right procedure or not, lol. I'll post up some pics later when I get it out in the sun.
