Hey guys I just finished wetsanding the epoxy on my front fender with 600.
Will the sealer coat be ok to cover these small breakthroughs or should I spot full strength epoxy and feather it in?
Thanks image-935334537.jpg

Depends on what you broke through to. If those are layers of different colored epoxy, there is no issue, sealer is fine. If what you broke through to is porous or soluble, you should prime full strength and sand.

the breakthroughs are to bare metal and 2 small spots where i broke through to the slick sand underneath

I started to write a post on what might be done, but this is one of those things that is a judgement call. It wouldn't hurt to seal them up and see what the breakthrough areas look like after a long flash. You'd be more likely to get away with it on a solid color than a metallic.

Safest thing is to prime them up, if you are not in a hurry.

thanks crash. i have 2 gallons of unopened epoxy and will spot all those areas in and feather them after they cure a little.
