Buffer speed for ACA500

After hearing Don and Jim rave about the 3D xtra cut yellow pad I went ahead and ordered one. It arrived today and I was really surprised how small and thin it was. Comparing it to other wool pads I've used it's dainty. Like half the thickness or less. Doesn't look durable IMO. Darn thing better last for $40+ bucks. Looking forward to doing some panels with it tomorrow with the 3D 500 compound.
I think you'll like it. I like mine better than the other pads I have tried.

Well Chris how did it go?

I'll report back when I get to buffing which will hopefully be tomorrow. My riding lawnmower broke down and it has been a hassle trying to fix it. Wasted a day and a half chasing parts, found more things wrong so had to order stuff and wait. It's old, and I need a new one but darn if I want to spend the kind of money a good one costs. Not now at least. Been keeping the old girl on life support for the past few years. Had to cut almost 5 acres of grass (my lawn) with the bloody 21" push mower the last two days. Half of it is that awful crab grass. Stuff was getting out of control and had no choice. Darn near killed me. :) It was 99 here today as well.

On the upside I guess if I was going to stroke out or have a heart attack anytime soon, it would have happened today while pushing that thing. :)

Well hopefully I'll have mine running again before the next time to cut. Waiting on parts. I do check FB now and then.

i buy 300 dollar mowers and run them until they blow up. i bought one new expensive mower in my life. it lasted a little longer than the cheap ones. i have a big torro now i bought for 200 dollars with 40 hrs on it. it kept kicking the mower belt. fixed it and run it until my godson mowed with the choke pulled and hydrauliced a cylinder bought a used motor for 150 and still going strong.

Next time you start with 1000 grit grab some mirka guidecoat and use it it helps you see and know when the scratches are gone works excellent
