Can microballons be added to epoxy primer?

N

NoobDude

In doing research for alternatives to lizard skin or dyna mat I came across a thread on chevy forums about micro balloons. After searching the web some more I think they may be a good idea and am considering applying a coat to the inside of the doors and cab. As guys are simply mixing it in household latex paint I wonder if they would work in the epoxy maybe as a pre sealer coat or something.
Any thoughts or experience out there?

Shine is an expert on the Lizard stuff, sure he will answer.
I copied the stuff a few years ago and decided not to follow through with it.

The micro balloons as you call them (nano) will thicken the epoxy but make it weaker.

Thanks Barry, I was just wondering if it could be an effective carrier on top of my three coats already inside the cab. At this point it could be weaker as long as it isn't a moisture absorbing paint is my thinking. I'll wait for the Texan to share his insights...
