On a 737 its about 50 gallons for a typical paint job and about 250 lbs after it dries.
Step up to a 747 and its about 90 to 100 gallons. And you should see the paint booth for those. It sure isn't a blue tarp.

What is the paint material?

I was going to say about 50-60 gallons. Thats what it takes to do a big offshore raceboat so they are in the same ballpark.
