Finally purchase a nice da sander 3/16 orbit, with a 5 inch pad. It came with a psa pad and I've been looking at sandpaper to use. I've looked at so much sandpaper that my head is spinning!
I mainly got this to try out the trizact system later down the road.
I know the trizact uses a foam interface pad. Do you guys use this for any of the coarser grits? I can see where it would help around different shapes of the car.
Also looking at the hook and loop paper alot of it has holes in it, I'm guessing for dust and clogging purposes. I know the hook and loop takes a special pad but I'm also guessing the holes in the paper need to line up with the pad?
I just wanted to ask what you guys are using. I know there is alot of products out there. I guess I mainly don't want to use something that belongs in a wood shop on my car.
I mainly have used my old da with psa indasa paper for surface prep for epoxy and cutting the top layer of slick sand. After that I'm block sanding.
Thanks for the help. Russ
