Decklid high in the middle of the front edge vs the front corners, how do I bend it without damaging it?

Having the back level is part of the adjustment, and will have an effect on the front.

Thanks! That's why I'm thinking that glueing on the weather strip and doing a final adjustment to see where everything's at is a good idea. The latch kinda holds it at the correct height, but not totally. Again the transition panel moves so easy I could get more if needed.

Here is a thread that discusses panel height tweaking using shims and such. I had the same problem as OP but on a Chevelle, I used a jack to push up on the trunk filler, could not get trunklid to budge without cutting reliefs in the metal.
Worth reading imo.

I readjusted, I think I'm going to call it done. Only question, do I take the lid to someone with a stud puller from my first "fix" attempt dent, or do I put a wee bit of filler?

I have to laugh alittle, this thread got seriously de-railed in the beginning and all it took was some slight adjustments. Gotta love the internet!

Glad you were able to get it very close!

As far as the dent...I'd just fill it if not terribly deep.
