They are listed as 50% ipa/50% DI water. cost is around $15.

why not just buy a 16 oz. bottle of 91% Isopropyl rubbing alcohol, cut it with 14.5 oz of Distilled water and use one of many lint free wiping cloths for about $3?

As I understand it, distilled water is as pure or slightly purer than DI water.
Medical grade Isopropyl alcohol is as pure as any.

the unknow is the 9% water , is it DI, Distilled or tap water. I really doubt that percentage of water will have a negative effect when mixed with the hungry DI or Distilled.

Barry, tell me what I am missing here !

and yes I am an Irishman.

I use dupont versions of those wipes sometimes. They say they have antistatic abilities. I have experimented with them and I do believe I get less trash using them. Your probably right about making your own but for me the customer pays for a quality job using top notch materials and I only have to lift the telephone to get more.

the Iso will be just as good or the same for the antistatic abilities

You are pretty much on the money, we buy 99% IPA and it is used in the epoxy and waterbourn cleaner.

The 700 does the same thing but you may not be able to use on some base coats.

OK, I give- waterborne black it is.

I got it figured out now, you have given us waterborne black epoxy with UV additives to use for our black basecoat!
