dewalt 7'' wool pad

Came free with my new 849, anyone used one before or should I stick with my meguiars pad and off it?
 
I save weird pads like that in case I get something oxidized and nasty to buff, like old gelcoat. Then you're not gunking up a nice pad.
 
More importantly has anyone actually buffed clear coat with it?
