different shades?

I bought some SPI black epoxy a little over a year ago that I've never opened for a car I sold shortly after. New project leads me to a different direction. My question is, if I use up the quart of black epoxy say on fenders, if I shot gray epoxy over it, am I going to get shading that could be detected in the later layers of primers and paint...for example, if I shot the fenders 1st coat in black, came back with gray over the fenders...would there be a different shade effect from the rest of the car done in all gray epoxy when all is complete?

I thought of saving the black for under the car, maybe the front fender wells...but I'm a long way off from this step...and I don't want to waste the black epoxy...

I may just go with the red epoxy and mix some black into it...

final color will proably be what the car left the factory in...1971 GM Lime Green...

Thanks!

No, if you have full coverage, does not matter what color is underneath.
