Epoxy over endura/plastic body pieces?

Working on a 69 firebird that has the plastic headlight surrounds and also the plastic "batwing" filler piece above the front bumper. Do I need to add anything or treat these pieces differently to get good epoxy adhesion?

Remove the old finish and clean the bare plastic with water based wax and grease remover. Wait 20 minutes after cleaning to apply un-reduced epoxy.

It's just that simple. Painted plastics requiring adhesion promoter did not come into use until the '80s.

If they are reproduction parts, all bets are off. They might require adhesion promoter.

You need to see if a sliver of the material sinks in water. Be sure to knock off any clinging air bubbles.

"If it's a floater, it needs promoter!"

I like the other way you said it before. "it it floats, you must promote!" brilliant
