I have a 3 tier tool chest that I got involved stripping paint off of (bottom 2 cabinet's was Dad's circa 1966 Herbrand I believe, top 20 year old Snap-On) because after many years they looked pretty bad. Heavy gauge with quality hardware compared to my Craftsman 3 tier tool chest. Becoming a bit of a nightmare project time wise (juggling other projects at the same time) and now I'm ready to shoot it SPI black epoxy. I like the semi-gloss look and was thinking of leaving it that way. Would that stand up to the abuse of tools, greasy hands etc.. Would it be wise to shoot Euro directly over epoxy? Trying to avoid putting color on it as I have all the tools in plastic bins waiting to go back into the drawers and I don't have any single stage urethane on hand. Plus I need it done yesterday! If SS is the only right way to finish it any recommendations for inexpensive materials befitting a toolbox?
Thanks
