If SPI epoxy has a 7 day window where we can apply body filler without sanding the epoxy, would that likely mean that epoxy resin would stick also? I want to make some custom logos with these carbon fiber bmw roundels, the mounting base for the roundel I want to epoxy black, put the carbon fiber roundel over it and then pour the resin onto the top so its all one piece. There's actually a company that does it, but they don't strip the chrome from the mounting base, they just sand it, which to me is foolish, its easy enough to take the chrome off..
