Epoxy/Wood Compatibility

I'll be shooting my '54 MGTF with epoxy sealer soon. The rear, vertical panel of this car is actually marine plywood. It sits behind the gas tank and can't be seen much but it is painted body color. Is the epoxy sealer compatible with the plywood? What should I use to seal the wood before epoxy - if anything?

epoxy is what you want on wood. nothing goes on the wood prior and nothing seals wood better than epoxy.

You may need to spray several coats of epoxy on the plywood to obtain an even sheen /color. The plywood may act like filler and absorb the first coat (s) of epoxy.
