Redoing a old chris-craft boat. Need to fill in the exhaust ports. Looks like about 3/4 inch wood then 3/8 inch fiberglass. Here is what i was thinking tell me what you think. Cut a round piece of 3/4 inch plywood just a little smaller that the hole that is there. Then use some west system thickend epoxy ( says is very good for bonding wood together). Glue new peice of wood into the hole. Then bevel the the area around the the repair out a inch or so. Then use west system resin and mat to make flat. Then some evercoat 870 for filler work. That sound like a good repair?
