I am going to be installing a fiberglass hood on my 65 Mustang. It is a 67 Shelby style hood. I do not want to have the hood corners lift at elevated speeds, nor do I want to use "safety pin" style hood pins.
What I am thinking is reinforcing the hood across the front underside to transfer the load to the hood latch to keep the corners down.
Now that you know what I am thinking, straighten me out and get me pointed in the right direction.
I have considered grafting in a set of '70 style hood pins, but really don't want to mess with pins to open the hood, but I would do it if that is the best route to take.
Thanks, SOF.
