First spray and I love the epoxy

I have had a gallon of black epoxy for a couple of months now. I finally got the nerve to get spraying yesterday. It was a little cool, in the 60's, but I went for it. The SPI was great. That stuff sprayed better than the PPG single stage that I have been practicing with and I was impressed by the gloss. I did not induce long at all but loved the results.

What happens when epoxy is sprayed over stubborn underdoating? I am having a real problem getting off the underside of my Challenger. The metal is in great shape under it so I have been thinking about letting it be. I want to epoxy the rails and will likely get over spray on the undercoated areas.

Actually you are not the only one with a stubborn undercoat issue, so we have a lot of experience in this area.
It will stick fine long term but remember the weakest point will be the undercoating itself and most likely the undercoat adheision..
Other then that, clean good and go.

Glad you liked the epoxy!

I wish that the undercoat had an adhesion issue. Thanks Barry for a great product. Happy New Year!
