So I just got my compressor plumbed In and attempted to lay down some black epoxy. I never sprayed or tried to adjust a gun. I read the write up here and many other places to adjust gun. Did practice patterns and just didn't no what I was looking for. I tried my best to get the gun setup and took it to the back of my decklid(figured Back of panel be good place to start) first wet coat sprayed down not as expected. I had runs and it didn't look how I would wanted it to. Finally adjusting the gun more and studying more I started getting the hang of it(I think?) Layed down the second wet coat and it sprayed alot cleaner didn't add no new runs and covered some first coat imperfections. Overall I'm happy with today's progress and love the epoxy. Anyone got some pictures of what test spray pattern should look like? Anyway here is the back of the decklid I sprayed. Going to do more panels tomorrow.now that I'm getting the hang of adjusting and speed of spraying.
Sprayed outside in 73 degree weather. As guy was drying annoying things blow on from wind. Should have my portable car port fully enclosed setup soon. How long does epoxy take to dry to touch?
