If you spray the first coat too heavy it will crater. Go easy on the first coat.Craters? Maybe thats my problem too? Too thick?

Once you learn how to spray it, it will lay down very nice. There is a learning curve to it, and this doesn't take into account your air supply, gun, etc. Reducer will help, but it also weakens it to an extent and is not ideal when you are coating bare metal or fiberglass. You don't get the full benefit of it reduced. Ideally you only should reduce it when using it for a sealer.I find it doesn’t lay down too well unless you use some reducer.
Unreduced SPI epoxy. Iwata LPH400 with a 1.4.I find it doesn’t lay down too well unless you use some reducer.
If you are referring to me that’s floor film from a previous build. I pull it up and replace just before final paint for each build. But ya, looks bad at this stage of a build… . At that point it has survived many coats of primer and even bedliner.Hey that's a nice clean shop too!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. The usability of this product is the worst by far of any epoxy I've used in the past 20 years.
Induction time is optional. Personally mixing the night before, or right before I do final prep Isn't an issue for me.1-induction time of 30 minutes, 2-epoxy/catalyst never fully mix ( you always get mottling or separation pockets on some areas, 3-you're suppose to wait 30 minutes in between coats.
Barry was going to help you out, but you didn't mention the gun you use. Set up and especially adjustments are very important for good results.I could lay it down wet but it wouldn’t flow out without some reducer. I’m new to all this but it did improve after that. I did put down two heavy coats 35min apart so hopefully there’s enough there to sand.
