Foam tape for blend lines?

I'm going to have to do some blending of clear in future projects, and the foam tape shown in this video looks like it would make things very easy so I don't have hard tape lines:

But I haven't been able to find anything like this online, so I figured I would ask here to see if anyone knows what this stuff is. Does anyone have a lead on this stuff?

It leaves an edge. Sometimes a nasty edge. That's when it doesn't lift while you are spraying. That being said the tape used in that video is an improvement over the 3M stuff that has been out for years. Box of that stuff i the video will run $75. Box the the 3M crap is around 50. Tape is the way to go if you have to do it that way. 1 1/2 or 2" tape on the line leaving half of it off the panel, then pull it back over itself. Use tape to hold it. That will leave the cleanest edge.

That's a real hack method in that video. Proper method when doing collision repair is to clear the entire side panel. Blending urethane clear isn't a good idea. Problem is the edge. It is thin there and it will fail before the rest of the repair. And it will be visible if you look for it. If you are doing used cars OK but if it's yours, clear the entire panel.

Ahh, thank you! I'm not sure if that's exactly what he was using, but it helped me find this:

Which I think is what he was using.

Got any tips on the tape method? Do you just fold it back on itself, or do you have it on the edge of paper and you fold that back?
Google soft edge masking.Took me a while to get it right but going over your leg at just the right angle makes a perfect folded edge on the tape.

I basically always full clear the panel. Ive only done clear burn ins a few times. The last time i did it, i used foam soft edge tape. Not 3m. I think HUD brand. It worked out. Just dont clear right up to the edge. Had a small transition that i sanded and polished. Looks great. Ill throw a pic up. It was a recent job on my personal vehicle. Done it at the c pillar.
