fox mustang mirrors

I have some mirrors that the sun messed up pretty bad and need a fresh coat of trim black. In the past I've never had problems degreasing, scuffing and shooting them with the trim black. These need some building and blocking to be perfect, can I hit them with epoxy or do they need adhesion promoter first. Thanks in advance.

Just use the black epoxy reduced about 15%......... I just did this and used no adpro.... Turned out nice!!

If you are going to clear them, use base then clear.. I dont know why it has become the "thing" to try and skip the base part of painting recently.. Really do people find the cost of a black base that expensive now.. Its cheap..

Nothing wrong with using epoxy as your surfacer, but as the topcoat or base coat.................. I digress

I just did as Barry told me..... I was using the SEM trim black and he assured me the life of the black epoxy by itself would outlive that. :)

I hit them with adpro and epoxy unreduced to build them up, then 2 coats of trim black. Not sure if reduced epoxy would out last the trim black or not but im not willing to chance it as the mirrors are not for my car.
