Giant decal

I have a car lot that has a Wrangler that someone put a giant decal that covers the fenders and hood. It appears that the decal has sunken into the clear. What would you suggest be done without buying new parts.
 
I'm assuming they want to remove the decals ? What do you mean they appear to have sunk into the clear? Like they were applied when the clear was too fresh?
 
I haven't seen it. Only going by what the dealer told me. Their detail guy said that he was worried about wrecking the clear trying to take it off. Maybe I'm wrong but won't decals settle into clear after being on for awhile? I really don't want to touch it. I was hoping to hear that it was too much work.
 
You just have to try the least conspicuous area with an eraser wheel and see what happens. It's the only thing that will work on really degraded stickers.

They don't settle into factory clear, but the paint under the decal can definitely have a different appearance than the rest once polished, I have seen that many times. The pigments age differently because the decal was absorbing UV. I guess if they were applied over some shoddy repaint, all bets are off.
 
I'm hoping all bets are off anyway! Thanks for youz guyz input. I'll see what happens on Monday.
