golf cart

My father in law wants me to paint his golf cart. he is looking for a detroit tigers theme and wants it done cheeeeaaaappppp. You know how this goes. I have never done fiberglass before. What is the normal process? I was going to use spi epoxy as a base and then I think he is going to go with some cheap tractor supply paint. We are going to paint it dark blue with an orange accent stripe and white detroit tigers D's on the side.
Also the canopy appears to be made of some type of plastic. He wants it painted as well. I was going to scuff it with a grey scotch brite and some scuff stuff and clean it with spi 700 wgr. Does this wound right for plastic canopy. Also what grit should I prepare the fiberglass to before spraying the spi epoxy. Of course it will be cleaned with spi 700 before and after sanding. any advice would help. nothing fancy here just a shoot it job just never worked with fiberglass before.

If you are going to do a stripe, slooooow drying tractor paint might present some serious problems.

I'd just wetsand the whole thing with 600. You'll need to ID the plastic to know what to do with it.

Post a picture of the rig, is it currently painted or gel coat?

currently it is just that normal white golf carts come in. i have decided that i am using spi black epoxy for the base, spi uv clear for the top coat and i contacted chad s regarding some prospray for the golf cart.
Question wet sand 600 is what you would suggest then shoot my epoxy primer? So basically wet sand to 600 and then shoot the epoxy. Will I need to sand the epoxy before shooting the base over it or just shoot the epoxy wait and then shoot the base with no sanding. The golf cart doesnt need any repairs or anything so it should be quick and easy. I think I will have around $300 to $350 into it by the time it all said and done.
