Senile Old Fart
I am in the process of fitting new qp's on a 65 Mustang.
After cutting out the old ones, and looking at the fit of the new ones .
The first couple of inches of the wheel opening going up the side of the qp are in contact or near contact with the wheel house. I feel this causes water and dust to trap here and cause a lot of the cancer problems these cars have.
The question is what is your opinion of coating this area with seam sealer before final attachment of the panel(s)?
good idea or will it cause different worse problems later?
Both surfaces have 2 coats of epoxy on them now.
Thanks.
