Help! Used wrong mix for 2100 clear. Now what?

I

Instead of using the activator, I mixed the clear 4:1 with the 885 urethane reducer. No activator was used. I sprayed 2 panels. What do I do now?

Pretty sure you wipe it off with solvent. That's what I would do, anyway. It's gonna be messy, and take a lot of paper towels!

It's been about 24 hours. I don't think solvent will take it off. It's pretty hard.

Did you call Barry?

Wipe it off like Shine suggested. It must come off and it will with solvent easily!!

What do I use, laquer thinner? Then what do I do, reseal, base and clear or just clear?

Your basecoat will be ruined also. I don't know of any way around this, sorry. Use whatever reducer you have that is slowest drying.

You might want to go ahead and bother Barry about this, it's kind of a big deal. I probably would if I were you.

Thanks for everyone's input. I scrubbed it with laquer thinner, and Yes, the base is ruined, which I figured it would be. I was surprised that some of the base (Prospray 3.5) came off too. I use to use Chromabase, and nothing would take that off. The Prospray 3.5 smells like a lacquer. Even activated, it wiped off pretty easy. is the regular Prospray like that too?

I'll call Barry tomorrow. At this point I thought I would let it dry in the sun for a while then I would start over with sanding and primer.

The clear had to come off as it would never dry.
ANY base will wash off with lacquer thinner, including Chromabase as it has nothing, on any other base.
