I guess 3 to 8 years if stored at a stable temp.

I don't use it much, but when I need it there is nothing else like it. So I was wondering if I needed to stock up in case something happens to the supply chain again.

No, on the new colors, and yes, I made viper blue for several years.
I wanted to make Laferrari blue see picture and Marina blue, and Nassau blue, but the guys did not want any new colors, and I understood why.

Colors create a lot of headaches.
