I'm renting a compressor for the weekend I paint my car. I'm going to do base in the morning and the clear in the afternoon. (i'm using universal clear)
If I'm not going to be able to spray three coats, cut and buff, and then spray three more coats, but I was hoping to spray at least 4 coats, cut them a week later, and then buff
I know the "perfect paint" write up says 4 is ok, but is there an advantage to 5? If I was going to stretch it to 5, should I wait longer that 20 minutes between each coat to clear more solvents?
another option is to do 2 (or 3) coats in one day, and then come back the next morning and do 2 more. Should I light sand before I come back the next morning?
thanks
