How to size and mix small quantities of epoxy primer, (or other multi part paints)

I have three of those E-Z 7 ounce cups. All three are about 1/2 ounce short from a true reading.

Here is 6 ounces in a Pyrex cup.

Poured the 6 ounces from Pyrex cup into a one quart paint cup.

Poured 6 ounces into E-Z 7 ounce cup.
As you can see, it's almost 1/2 ounce short of a true reading. I don't trust those cups.

As Don already stated, it doesn’t matter if it’s not exactly 6 oz. It’s all relative. What’s important is that the ratios of the two materials being mixed together remain the same.

If you add 6 oz and it says 5.5 in your cup, and then you add another 6 oz and it says 11 oz, then the cup is mixing a completely accurate ratio and that’s what really matters.

Nice discussion....

Before I caught up on this thread I went out and ordered these from Amazon..... (see below)

They are junk! if you look at the 'mL' side of the cup, there are no 2X multiples. they have a 30, but no 60. A 50, but no 100. A 70, but no 140, etc.. not only that, but if you pour 3oz from one cup, into a cup with 3oz already in it, it only comes to 5.5ish oz.

So the question is now.... How accurate are the scales on cups like the 3M PPS cups, and how close is 'close enough'
