hvlp or compliant?

I am waiting for the 4000 Sata RP to be released...how many of you guys are spraying clear with HVLP and how many are using a compliant or hybrid gun? I have always used HVLP technology for base and clear with great results...of course I'm cranking the air pressure so I'm sure I'm above 10psi at the aircap when spraying clear...Anyone using the Tekna?..I have heard good and bad about it for painting...I have been using my nr2000 Sata for basecoat, and my nr3000 HVLP for clear coat..I also have an lph 400, but honestly haven't seen any difference in quality of applying clear over the Sata 3000 HVLP...

u wont like the 4000.. the 3000 is still better and im not the only one who thinks that.. the tekna is better then the new 4000 but not as good as the 3000. rp for clear is the only way to go.

Have you tried the new rp 4000 for clear?..didn't think it was available yet?? I have a brand new 3000 rp with a 1.3...was going to use it for clear but not sure if I should sell it for a 4000 rp??

I'm not sure it's for sale until I get full confirmation about the 4000 or the 3000 being the appropriate choice for clear coat. I figure I'll use my 3000hvlp for base and make my nr2000 hvlp for epoxy/sealer and my new rp in either 3000 or 4000 for clear

Hi sik, what's wrong with the 4000?...you wouldn't think sata would put out junk, but maybe...I didn't think the 4000rp was released yet, how do you compare the two? what don't you like about the 4000 rp vs. the 3000 rp?
