Maybe:

high build intercoat = reduced urethane clear with lots of Polar?

that sounds like me making a mess and having a clogged gun! LOL! i would have to move fast if i tried something like that!

Even with a lot of polar you're safe for a half hour or so, unless it's really hot out.

i guess my best bet would be to quit making mistakes!

Mistakes are OK and can be fixed but you never want to fix a mistake with intercoat clear or a base coat (unless real minor) as that is a problem waiting to happen down the road.
