Infared curing heater

I've been thinking about investing in one of these to help me out during winter. I want it to use on various parts of the car as I do the metal work and epoxy. Last winter I used a set of two 500watt halogen lights and they worked ok I guess.

Here is one I'm looking at:

I guess I'm just trying to figure out if this would be worth it or If I would be better to put the money into the project. Thanks.

I have two, not this type but the single bulb type, one is a short wave and one is a medium wave, they are life savers and nothing better for curing paint or fixing a problem such as base wrinkling.
Just get one that is easy to move around, that is why I have both as the short wave is more of a pain to move because of size.
I paid 1200 for the short wave 15 years ago and $250 for the medium wave, prices have gone down.

Very handy to have in the shop, I use mine year round.

Just be very careful with the distance between lamp and painted surface.

I would probably stick to Infratech so that it is easy to get parts. Maybe that one is OK though, you might check availability of spare parts before buying.

Trisk is another one that is a pro shop tool, they cost a little but can be a life saver when used properly. Like Crash said look for parts availability just in case, the price looks good though for sure.

Thanks for all the great info guys. I did email the seller last night and ask some questions about replacement parts but haven't heard back. I will check on the other names as well. I searched for a bit trying to find it online to see if there was some reviews but haven't found any so far.

Infratech, Trisk and H&S Auto Shot are the major players, parts will not be a problem with them getting parts, mine are H&S and have replaced minor items.
