Install LPH 400 gun settings for single stage

I am going to spray some single stage and would appreciate it any advice on gun settings. Mine has the 1.4 tip and silver cap.

Fluid 2.5 turns out, skooch less than full fan, 25 psi with trigger pulled. At least that’s what I use and I’ve sprayed a little SPI single stage.

Sometimes adding 5% reducer helps it lay down a little nicer.

I've used my 300 a couple times in the past days and am using the psi that's recommended on the cap (18psi). Really happy with the results. I've had issues with my 400 not spraying right and thought it was my air line set up. Next larger job, I'm going to try the recommended pressure. I think the 26 psi may have been blowing the fan into distortion.

I sprayed about 4.5 gallons of single stage last year with my LPH400.

I was about 2.5 turns out or until my fluid pattern looked full enough but not overly wet, pressure between 25-30 psi, and then I hold trigger to first stop and turn fan in slowly until I see the air pressure bump up ever so slightly on the regulator gauge. Hold the gun about 4 inches from panel and go to town. It gets it on pretty slick this way while allowing a little speed.

I’m the odd duck. I usually spray mine around 20 psi at the gun trigger pulled. I have high flow fittings, diaphragm regulator, and all that jazz. Base I spray a hair lower. I spray close with tight overlaps. And it makes me feel like I’m going fast like with my sagola cause my arm is moving fast…except I’m much closer with tighter overlaps lol. Works for me. I try and keep overspray to a minimum.

I just posted an Iwata video. The set up is interesting.
