is this a good plan?

I got my fenders, doors, hood, and trunk lids all stripped to bare metal, cleaned, and then two coats of epoxy. Now the body filler. One fender was damaged in the past and had some rough metal work done. That will need some serious filler work. Other than that and a single patch panel...... everything is in surprisingly good shape. A couple of pinhole rust-through spots here and there. My plan is to use short strand fiberglass filler (Everglass)on the weld seam and deeper spots....... then evercoat rage body filler over that and where its needed.....followed with rage extreme...... And finally a couple of coats of slick sand. My question is......is this a solid plan or am I getting carried away?

Rough metal work and pinholes? Not something I'd want to cover up until proper repairs are done first..

The metal is too thin to weld up some of the pinholes......I got most of them. The fender with the metal work in question is a compound curve......I'd need an english wheel or the like to perfect the shape.....thats not an option. I've got it as close as I can. I know I don't want to put filler on too thick.......should I fill in the deepest area (1/2 max) with short strand fiber (Everglass) and then finish with the poly body filler (Rage)? Or am I overcompicating this with too many layers? Thanks for your insight.

None of the polyester fillers are waterproof so you really shouldn't fill holes with them, still people do it all the time. The fiberglass reinforced fillers will add some strength if you need it but they will also ghost on hot days if they are thick. Your choice of putting epoxy primer down before fillers are applied will add a lot to your chance of success even with the holes and especially if the backside of your repairs are sealed off well-just keep the recoat window in mind or make sure the primer is scuffed up well before filler is applied-180 grit works well. Pics would shed a lot of light on what you're dealing with.

IMO 1/2 inch of filler is to much, work that metal with hammer and dolly a bit, you can get it down to 1/4 inch, I never fill more than 1/8-1/4 max. And I use z-grip then finish with rage gold.
