Guys, what are your recommended settings for spray base with this gun? It has the 1.4 tip and cap.
 
I think it varies depending on your individual spraying technique.
I normally, back the fluid knob out until I can pull the trigger full open, then holding it open, I turn the fluid knob in until I feel it make contact with the trigger. After releasing the trigger I turn the fluid knob in one full turn.

My PSI with trigger pulled full open is 23-24 for base coat and 26-27 for clear. I then put masking paper on the wall and holding the spray gun the same distance as I would to the panel, shoot a one second blast. The droplets should be consistent in size and there should be full coverage with no runs. If it looks too wet turn the fluid knob in 1/2 turn and try again.

Once you get it where you like it, shoot a 12" pass on panel at the speed you intend to spray at. This will tell you if you need to alter your settings.
