Jitterbug sander and wet sanding

Has anyone aver done it? I was thinking about trying it lately, but I don't have the sander for it. Having a larger pad than a DA I think it could be nice on large flat panels, and would use standard wet sanding paper.

I've experimented with it, it works, but I like a regular DA better. I've also tried the jitterbug for final polishing with my own homebrew pad-seen no advantages. If you are going to try it for sanding make sure it is absolutely clean, make sure the pad is flat with no sharp edges, use a lot of water, and monitor the contact patch closely so you don't gouge any areas with the edge of the pad.

Never did it but did work with someone that tried it on a complete paint job on a truck. When painted and buffed it looked like an absolute train wreck waves everywhere from the pad and it had to be sanded back down and resprayed. I laughed cause he was a total rectum head that thought he knew everything. It might work for you but I won't use one. He used his regular autobody jitterbug whether that was the problem or not I don't know I was just glad he failed.
