Just finished spraying, have a few questions

Well, I just used SPI Epoxy Primer for the first time in my new Iwata LPH440 with a 1.8 tip. During my spraying I thought of a few things I could use help with.

I set my fan to about 11" and my needle 3 1/4 turns out @ 23 PSI. I went through 24 ounces in 2 coats of a rocker panel, quarter panel, inner fender, and door jamb. Does this seem right or am I laying down too much/little?

How does everyone get paint where the quarter panel pinches onto the outer wheelhouse? It seems to be impossible to get the gun to spray there...I was thinking about using my spot repair gun since it is smaller, or waiting until everything dries and using a large swab to hand paint it in there, since it won't be seen and is more for rust prevention than anything.

Is it ok to use aerosol carb cleaner to clean off the outside of the spray gun and the tip between coats?

I also realized I should have jacked the entire side of the car up so I could get a better angle at the bottom of the rocker. Learning something everytime.

With a 1.7 and the low air pressure, you used plenty of epoxy.

This is an area, everyone does different and the right way is, "whatever works"

Yes if you find that really necessary.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, it does. I should have reworded the carb cleaner question. I meant to spray off the body of the spray gun after painting, to get in the nooks and crannies. The tip would be sprayed clean in between coats just as a precaution. My first coat went on dry, I thought, but my second one looked great as far as no runs and minimal orange peel.

Is there something I should be doing to cut back on my epoxy usage? I didn't seem to have much overspray around so I figured I was getting most of it on the car, but perhaps I was wrong.
