Later Model Salvage yards 1998+

"As I was saying.."
Does anyone know of any later model salvage yards that carry later model cars? I'm looking for some steering column trim pieces for a 1999 Olds Intrigue. I'm kind of exhausted searching through google.

A lot of large yards post parts on E-bay. Even if they don't post the party you are looking for, if they post other parts for that car it's worth reaching out and asking.

Well........a bit more than 4 out of 5 of these are statistically off the road now at the 25 year mark. Most got scrapped for maximum parts value in the sweet spot age range of 6-14 years. Most of the larger yards dealing in late models want this range and not tie up time, effort, space storage on anything that doesn't have a quick market. The one down the road from where I work--is a feeder for the steel mill 25 miles away and crushes all such cars on entry that don't fit their target market of likely being in the yard for 4 months or less and getting picked clean. I'd try one of the Oldsmobile forums.

I have several u pull yards near me full of that stuff. What exactly do you need?

Only other luck I have for little items like that is eBay if my local u pull yards don’t have it. If I need a handful of items I’ll just buy a junker off marketplace/craigslist and take everything I can use then junk the car.

You're welcome. ;)
Yeah I was going to mention that as I use that site on a daily basis. But the chances of a busy yard wanting to be bothered with a piece of interior trim off a 99’ Oldsmobile Intrigue is slim to none. But crazier things have happened I suppose.

I just sent that to the owner. He can deal with that. But ya, looking at the site complete columns are pretty cheap.

I appreciate the feedback.

I just need some column pieces. They use the column out of an Olds Intrigue in these kit cars. So odd.

Checked 1998 Olds Intrigue, 7 pages of results for steering columns. $75-$100 average.

Yep, I sent the info to the car owner. I will patiently wait for parts to show up.
