In the search for the best results spraying with HVLP guns, I understand higher flow couplings are important. Milton is one of the more popular manufacturers so I checked their published flow ratings on various styles:
A-Style: 34 SCFM
M-Style: 40 SCFM
T-Style: 40 SCFM
V-Style: 74 SCFM
G-Style: 99 SCFM (1/2")
A few years ago I bought a few T-Style couplers and plugs to put on the air hoses and the outlets from the air supply system. I even used two G-Style plug/couplers to connect the Motorguard air filter to the system (allows bypassing a clogged filter quickly). Now that I see the flow ratings, looks like those T-Style fittings are going to be replaced.
I have converted almost all of my air tools to V-style. Because I have more than 30, I didn't want to go broke on the conversion. For brass plugs with 1/4" NPT, Tool Source has really good prices for both male and female threads ($0.77):

If you are interested in upgrading your air supply and tools, Milton makes kits with other part numbers but the basic V-Style fitting part numbers (the Male and Female NPT refers to the threads) are:
S760/S760-1 Brass/Steel 1/4” MNPT Plug
S761/S761-1 Brass/Steel 1/4" FNPT Plug
S762/S762-1 Brass/Steel 3/8” MNPT Plug
S763/S763-1 Brass/Steel 3/8" FNPT Plug
S764 Brass 1/4” FNPT Coupler
S765 Brass 1/4” MNPT Coupler
S766 Brass 3/8” FNPT Coupler
S767 Brass 3/8” MNPT Coupler
Hope this is a head-start if you have a supplier or just want to check prices on the Internet.
Edit: I forgot to mention that the V-Style Coupler accepts V-Style, M-Style and A-Style plugs so you don't have to convert all your tools at once.
