Min and Max Epoxy Recoat times based on level of reduction

I know this has been discussed many times, but when I need to find the subject information, I seem to have trouble.

I know unreduced epoxy is usually stated as 7 days max, what's the minimum to top coat?

When reduced, does the amount of reduction come into play? Tech manual says reduce 10-50% and then basecoat in 2 to 48 hours. Is that true for both 10% reduced and 50% reduced?

And the 10% to 50% is in relation to the total mixed amount? I.e. if you mix 1:1 epoxy and activator to total say 12 ozs, 10% is 1.2 ozs and 50 % would be to add 6 ozs?

Are the times to single stage the same as basecoat?

So, best laid plans and all that. I mixed my epoxy yesterday 1:1:1 in anticipation of spraying while the weather was nice. Ran into snag after snag.

One of the snags, sanded through the full strength epoxy that was already on the car in a few spots . Keep in mind this is the interior of the car, metal dash and A pillars that I want to spray.

My new question what's the pot life of my 1:1:1? Could I spray some full strength epoxy today and spray my 1:1:1 tomorrow? Or since it's in the interior, just spray the 1:1:1 today and top coat it?

Should I add a few ounces of 1:1 to the 1:1:1 and end up with some 10-20% reduced epoxy, spray that today then spray the color in about 4 hours?

Or should add a few ounces to the reduced and let it sit until tomorrow since it's induction clock may be reset with the new added product (I don't know if adding to reduced epoxy has the same rest effect as adding to non reduced epoxy) and spray some unreduced full strength epoxy today?

I think I would check with Barry on some of your questions. I've never let epoxy reduced sit very long so I don't know what the pot life would be. I don't know what the result would be if you added to it either. Check with Barry on the Tech Line and see what he advises.

yes it will be good most likely for a couple days or even more. it will however settle out so once in awhile give it a little stir as you walk by. couple times a day would be good.
