Lmao.. doesn't take that long with my 4-cylinder.. However unless I link the two sides I typically only run half the volume. I have two buildings with air lines under ground to connect the two..

I always open the lines up when i do sand blasting but the 4-cylinder champion will keep up and actually shut on and off while blasting.

We have gone a full day before realizing we never turned on the air compressor.. One time I painted one after hours, and didn't realize the compressor was off until my last coat of clear.. at that point I just finished and called it a night.. lol

latest from ingersol rand. oil blowing by the rings is common . their fix for it dripping oil at the precooler tube is replace the tube . buying an ingersol has turned out to be one of the dumbest things i've done in years.

doubtful. they say the leaking oil is a problem with the precooler tube not the fact it is blowing oil. said that the oil bypass is normal. first it was because it was new so i asked about this new compressor contaminating my system . then it was normal. so now i get to buy another filter to remove oil vapor. i will also be forced to buy a dryer as this thing makes a ton of water. my fault for going by past experience and not doing way more research .

My vote is a Hankison HIT drier, and don't look back, or at the VERY least an aftercooler with fan.

i bought an inexpensive one from central pneumatic .i'm close to retiring so couldn't see a bunch of money in something i will only use every once in a while. talked with a couple of folks who have them and they had good luck. it runs on 134A so i can maintain and service it . i dont trust the air now so i built a fresh air makeup for the blast booth and paint room.. pretty cool set up. i can fill it with ice for working in the summer heat. cant blast until close to noon so it'shot in there.
