Yeah i would like to see them. Have you shot the SPI primers and clear? I'm going to give it a go on this next restoration i'm working on.If you have shot the SPI stuff what kind did you use and did you like it? Thanks

Here is the 32 High boy done. It's a Omni base with AF740 Clear. We use it on aircrafts we paint at work and i get it for $48.00 a gal and $50 for the hardner. It's 3:1 and some reducer as needed. sprays good and buff nice but it does not have that deep high gloss like i would like to see. It has taken a few first places already at some local shows.DSC03017.jpeg

I have used the Epoxy Primer, 2K Primer, and Universal Clear. I found all their products to be very user friendly.
The clear buffs like a dream and if you have to spot in a boo-boo it blends really well. I think you will be very
happy with them.

Hey Tony, I've been using SPI for the last 5 years and would be glad to give you some info if you want. I'm in Bellevue which is 20 minutes from you and you can paw over my inventory and I'll tell you what I like and why but I will have a hard time finding anything I dislike about SPI. I take it you must work at Duncan? What kind of removal system are you using in your booth?

Thanks Brad, here is my number, i would really like to talk to you for sure. Yes I'm the Paint Shop Shift Supervisor at Duncan. As far as a removal system its just a attic fan in the wall and i just had a new furnace installed from my other garage ducted into my booth. Without trying the furnace while painting it will remove the overspray in about 5 mins or so completely. I did see where some of the clears say only run the fan for 1 miniute after spraying...so what do you do between coats then is my question. I have attached a picture of the fan in the wall. I pull my clean air from a window with a filter in it at the front of my shop Thanks Tony

Another Michigander! Your setup looks nice! I'm jealous! Looks like your jobs come out pretty clean also!

Welcome, you'll find this site more helpful than you can ever imagine.

Your booth looks very similar to what we plan to build in the future. Can you give me some details on your lighting arrangement? It's hard to tell from the pictures what type of lights you have. The cars look great too! :D
