Both bumpers looked like this. Takes a lot of pressure off of me!

I'll bet some people are never the same after you point out that parts on their new car don't match. They're checking out bumpers in the parking lot too, now.

Brand new $80,000 4-Runner code 040 solid white. Bumpers, handles, and mouldings are way off. Toyota have been for a long time. I showed the customers I have to replace the rear bumper, and color will be as close or better than OEM. Easy!

I do a lot of bumpers, on 90% of them, before I start, I point out to the
customer that they already don't match. I can usually get closer but always explain
I have to blend to the adjacent panels for a real match.
(That Toyota is unblendable of course)

That is so bad it makes me wonder if they scratched it on the lot and had the "new guy" fix it?

I was having my car serviced once and they scratched the bumper. The dealer had it repaired before I got there but felt they needed to tell me what happened. That repair was blended within the bumper but looked good for about 6 months and then the clear started peeling.

Both bumpers were identical.
