OLD epoxy primer

Hi Guys -

I've been away for a long while, due to real life interfering with my project. Well, I"m biting the bullet and making time. Anyways, I've got some epoxy primer that I date the can as May 2008. Yep, been gone a LONG time. I'm seeing that the general rule of thumb is three years and the stuff should be scraped.

For grins, I've mixed up two ounces and am trying on a piece of scrap to see the results. If the stuff sets up, what would be the impact of using it? The Part A (grey) was about 1/2 can and stirred right up, the part B was unopened. The areas I want to coat (with a brush) will be to areas of overlapping sheet metal that are going to be plug welded together (the truck floor to the deck shelf) and the quarter filler panels to the trunk floor.

What are the thoughts on using it for this application? Thanks all.

Joe

Barry would be your best source of info for sure but I bet if mixes and cures up fine it is fine.
